Weekend Reading 56: Mind of the Raven

AVERY KAPLAN: ASGARDIAN Notify! This weekend, I’m lastly going around to Loki: Agent of Asgard- Volume One: Trust Me by Al Ewing, Lee Garbett, Nolan Woodard, Clayton Cowles, and Jenny Frison. Then, I’ll be continuing my nonfiction run with Mind of the Raven: Investigations and Adventures with Wolf-Birds by Bernd Heinrich. I’m a huge fan of corvid cognition so I’m curious what interesting nuggets may be hidden in this book … Plus, a book on ravens precisely has to be Odin-approved, doesn’t it?

Weekend Reading 56: Stickleback

DEAN SIMONS: I am criminally behind on British weekly 2000 AD. I have a subscription and I cause the issues heap up. It is terrible, I know. On the bright side: I get to binge the serials in a few sittings. So no waiting! Currently at the September 2020 problems- and my biggest draw is the ravishing return of Ian Edginton and D’Israeli’s’ Pope of Crime’ Stickleback after a six year hiatus following a stunning cliffhanger. Too a bit of fright in Fiends of the Eastern Front and a random- and murderou- revitalization of classic Jaws ripoff HookJaw series- and some futuristic sci-fi action with Skip Tracer. And all that’s beside the anthology’s reliable supporter streaks: Judge Dredd. So. Much. Thrill Power.

Weekend Reading 56: Indestructible Compendium 2

TAIMUR DAR: I’ve been binging the original Invincible comics for the last few weeks after fallen in love with the inspired establish on Amazon. After say the first 50 or so issues thus far I’m moving on the second Invincible Compendium. Fairly certain I’m venturing into territory that will be part of the second season. So I’m going to be slowing down my decipher of Invincible a bit going forward so I can really savor the series, at least until the second season arrives.

Weekend Reading 56Weekend Reading 56: Jack Kirby’s Fourth World Volume 1

BILLY HENEHAN: Another week of Jack Kirby’s Fourth World Volume 1 for me. I’m about halfway through Volume 1 of Jack Kirby’s big story. I never realized how much of 90 s Superman was gathered from this magnitude( The Guardian, Newsboy Legion, Project Cadmus, etc ). I’m certainly digging the book and pick it up every free time I have.
